August 16, 2018, Lawrence District Court case no. 1818CR00007 charging rape of a child. Client accused of forcibly raping downstairs neighbor's child at knife point. Our investigation establishes a strong alibi for client. Further exploration of child's family background reveals evidence suggesting that child's parents developed hostility toward client landlord. Our investigation further uncovered history of past allegations motivated by desire to leverage housing benefits. The sum of our investigation reveals the hostility and motive combined to prompt child's fabrication of rape allegations. Following presentation of our findings to the prosecutor, all charges dismissed over the alleged victim's objection.
