Pre-indictment delay results in dismissal of drug charge carrying 12 year mandatory sentence

September 7, 2018, Lawrence District Court case no. 1818CR2815 charging trafficking in heroin over 200 grams, carrying 12 year minimum mandatory prison sentence. Arrest resulted from joint Drug Enforcement Administration ("DEA") / State Attorney General investigation. Following delay in indictment, the Court allows our motion to dismiss the case in its entirety.
